Shaina Hedlund is an artist and photographer based in Austin, Texas, and a member of IATSE Local 484 working in the Film/Television industry as a graphic designer. Her love of Film’s ever-changing genres has been a driving force behind pursuing a career within the film community based on the vast opportunities to create. 

Graduating from the University of North Texas in 2009, Shaina received a BFA in Interior Design, one of the Nation’s more competitive programs. She has a multi-faceted background in art, with a strong passion for photography, drawing, painting and bringing her ideas and creations to life.

In her down time she loves spending time outside whether it be hiking, kayaking, trash pickup, playing sports or napping in the local dog park with bacon in her pockets to entice dog cuddles. You could say she was a dog whisperer? (Really it’s just the aroma of fresh breakfast used as a perfume, but don’t tell anyone.) She loves to build and currently working on renovating her home to create a western vampire artist lair with a hint of eclectic oddities to host cocktail parties with her current empty decanters.

She is secretly a super nerd always striving to achieve the goal of becoming Xena, animal lover who is slowly becoming a “cat lady,” and collector of art by a multitude of friends and fellow artists. She is a transplant survivor which helps to consistently win the “who has the biggest scar” contest; this life-changing event has also enhanced her drive and eagerness to learn new things…which inevitably leads to the use of the classic Xena phrase, “I have many skills.” (She also finds it weird to talk about herself in the third person)
